Starting with a bang!

Updated: Aug 31, 2020

Well, here we finally are. It was about two weeks ago that Niamh asked me to join The Noisy Movement team as Creative Director. This was an opportunity I could not possibly turn down. Not only, do I get to be part of a new, incredible campaign. I also get to spend time talking and raising awareness of some hard-hitting crucial issues which are very close to me and a lot of others. However, this is not all doom and gloom, this is real life and I can guarantee you that my life will manage to bring you plenty of laughs.

Anyway, straight to business. I am Annie, a 21 year old student at the University of Edinburgh. However, I am currently studying in Lund, Sweden. I am sure if you are reading this you have already read a great deal about The Noisy Movement and what we aim to do. We are sparking conversations, raising concerns and making noise about issues that are taken for granted time and time again. Unfortunately, I know, that a lot of the issues we have raised on our facebook pages will have hit home with so many of you already and this is what I hope to talk about with you all.

So… Niamh asked me to do this and initially I thought:

“Bloody hell, what am I going to say?” and then I realised that this isn’t about me, this is about all of us.

So the real question is actually “What are WE going to say?”

And this is where I turn to all of you. I was given a lot of freedom with what to do for this “blog.” My plan is to keep it all as broad as possible.

I am a busy, mostly happy, slightly grumpy and actually probably overly loud and annoying student who drinks too much beer. I love making a LOT of noise. Put me up on stage in front of hundreds of people and there aren’t many things I wouldn’t talk about. Love, sex, family, friends, university, booze… and the list goes on. However, there are a small few topics which even I struggle to talk about. Alongside, all the things listed above which I can’t wait to talk about, I also want to discuss the things which I (well… we) struggle with inwardly. I want to do this for myself but also for everyone else.

I want to hear your stories and what you have to say. I want to tell my stories, answer your questions and quite frankly MAKE SOME NOISE.

So here we have it, Welcome to our website and welcome to the campaign. Please email me at anniemuggoch@icloud.com

Tell me your stories

Get involved

Ask questions (which I will try to answer)

It is time to get talking as LOUD AS POSSIBLE.
